TrueWash Laundromart Safety Policy
Introduction
TrueWash Laundromart is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our customers and employees. We have implemented this safety policy to help prevent accidents and injuries.
General Safety Rules
* Please follow all instructions posted on machines and signs throughout the laundromat.
* Do not overload machines.
* Do not leave children unattended in the laundromat.
* Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to a staff member immediately.
Machine Safety
* Do not use machines that are malfunctioning or appear damaged.
* Do not touch the inside of a washing machine while it is in operation.
* Do not leave flammable materials near the machines.
* Keep children away from machines while they are in operation.
Chemical Safety
* Read and follow all instructions on laundry detergents and fabric softeners.
* Do not mix chemicals.
* Keep chemicals out of reach of children.
Fire Safety
* Do not smoke or use open flames inside the laundromat.
* Do not use appliances that are not approved for use in the laundromat.
* Report any fires immediately to a staff member and call 080379057077
Training
All staff members will be trained on the safety policy and procedures. This training will include:
* Fire safety
* Chemical safety
* Machine safety
* Emergency procedures
Employee Safety
Employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals.
* Employees must be trained on the safe operation of all machines.
* Employees must report any unsafe conditions to their supervisor immediately.
Enforcement
TrueWash Laundromat will take appropriate disciplinary action against any employee who violates the safety policy.
